Today I'd like to share the Olivia Raine Foundation.

Olivia Raine helps families pay for funeral expenses when their infant children pass away.

In honor of their daughter, Olivia Raine, who was born with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia and who lived from August 31 to September 19, 2002, Olivia Raine Foundation seeks to help other parents through a difficult time. Often expenses incurred during a child loss are an added source of suffering for many families. Helping others by lifting this burden is especially meaningful.

I am constantly in awe of the generosity of baby loss parents who turn their own pain into healing for others.

This Saturday I'd like to share Be Not Afraid.

Be Not Afraid helps families navigate the complexities of the medical system, after receiving a poor prenatal diagnosis.

In addition to helping families who have received a lethal diagnosis,  they connect families whose children have survivable ailments.



Be Not Afraid was the first place we found when we were looking for answers. Our Beatrix's story is the only Limb Body Wall Complex Story in their archives.

Sufficient Grace Ministries provides birth support, memory boxes, and photography for families facing pregnancy and neonatal loss.

We would love to have some donations made in Beatrix's name over the course of the next week.



{It's a completely selfish want... but to know her name was on that donation form would be an affirmation that she was here and she is missed.}

Our favorite item from SGM is our sweet Bea Bear.





These bears are given to families so that they have something to hold tight to when they are leaving the hospital, and sometimes for cuddling when needing that connection at home:




Our Bea bear was immediately taken possession of by this guy, and for the first two years after our Beatrix died, he wouldn't sleep without her.

Today I wanted to share the love for some "events" going on.

Often when a mom loses a baby, she will spend time creating care packages for hospital labor and delivery departments. It's therapeutic to a family who has suffered a loss to know that they have the power to give some small measure of comfort to a family newly bereaved.
